Here are a few of my favorite things for this HOT summer....  I am obsessed with the Vintage V-Neck shirts from Old Navy.  The best cut, soft fabric and such a great price...only $8.50!  I bought 6 this past weekend.

I love pashminas and scarfs but my all time favorite brand is Matta.  The colors and tassels are amazing and they never go out of style.  They are expensive but I use it almost every day in the summer and winter.   Love the Clutch - tribal and preppy in one!

I am loving the floral/hawaiian prints - and we must give praise to the start of this trend... Givency Resort 2012!  Anyways, I always get questions on how to wear Noble House Designs Necklaces. Here is a great way to blend trends but still keep it classic. I like the color and print in any outfit to have proportion and balance.  The colors all work well together and of course - Gold, Tweed and Tassels are considered a neutral :)

Before & After - X Benches!

I am ecstatic to finally share my finished X-Benches! For a few months, I was looking at buying a pair here or here but yikes, over $700 for 1 bench and I wasn't in love with the fabric or colors.   I found a furniture designer on Craigslist and had the benches made for just a fraction of the cost.  Fabric from Dwell Studios.

Dont you love getting a treat in the mail?  I do!  But then again, i love any type of stationary,....so today was double bonus!!

Kitchen Redo....

We finished remodeling our kitchen months ago, but it has taken me forever to find the right items.  Its not finished just yet but I had to post my new obession...My Elephant from Z. Gallerie!   I was inspired by this picture on pinterest.  It can hold fruit or flowers! bonus! 

Bitter with Baggage - Easter Edition!

Hope everyone had a Fantastic Easter/Passover/Holiday Weekend!  I spent the weekend finishing up orders and decorating like a mad woman.  I am bordering on obsessive with finishing this house but my to do list never ends.  Ugh.

As I was organizing my books in my jewelry studio, I came across my favorite book, ever....Bitter with Baggage Seeks Same:  The Life and Times of Some Chickens.  Hilarious.  I love the miniature set design, the adorable chicks and the funny quotes.  Take a look.... 

Before and After....Bamboo!

I am embarrassed to admit that I haven't had time to decorate until now and we moved into our house over Memorial Weekend, 2011.  Yikes, almost a year!  So now that I am focused and have a plan - I am painting and redoing vintage pieces.  I found this faux bamboo dresser at a thrift store for cheap & found that it was a dresser from Harrods of London, circa 1972.  Harrods of London in Houston, Texas?  Anyways,  I had it painted a gold froth color from Martha Stewart's paints at Home Depot.  The paintings are a mix of purchases from estate sales and eBay. The Foo Dogs and Decorative Tray are from target for $10 each. We got some great pictures on our trip to India and plan on blowing up a photo from our trip to hang above the dresser.  Yeah, DIY!

Hands down, the best shopping experience ever! The boutiques are modern, stylish but with the flair of the traditional Chinese décor! They sell home décor, clothing and my favorite, jewelry. These are just a few of my favorite things from Shanghai Tang.

Eat some Dim Sum and enjoy the Chinese New Year! Party!
