Before & After - Asian Console

Its no secret that I ADORE 70s style furniture.  I love the construction and whimiscal asian details as well!  I found a vintage 1970s credenza/console by Century at  a local resale shop.  I especially wanted this piece since it has tons of storage for our Cable box, dvd player, blankets and dvds/cds.  

I had it painted a glossy cream white finish with gold sides.  I found the best colors and paint at Home Depot, in the Martha Stewart line.  I love the finished product and it is such a wonderful large focus point in our living room.  Now, I am looking for 2 large vintage lamps to anchor the TV.......

Best Porch..in Charleston

I love this historic Charleston front porch featured in Veranda, especially the 19th century Pagoda latern and the planter boxes.  I would sit on the front porch all day long!

Chinoiserie Etagere

 I have a small nook in our living room that needs a tall piece of furniture, that is open and great lines.  Perfect!  I can finally get a Pagoda Etagere.   They can be costly but I am going to search at estate sales, eBay and my dear best friend...craigslist.

 I envision my Etagere as a bright Chinese red color paired with my favorite books, pictures and 2 neon blue foo dogs.

Custom Moving Announcements....

Another great reason to move.....Because you can send out custom moving announcements! My talented friend and graphic designer has designed a few cute and modern moving announcements for me.  Hopefully, in a few months our front porch will look like this card with our new toparies and vintage lion door knocker (found on ebay) and modern street numbers.

But this one is close to my heart because it features baby charlie!  We moved from a townhouse to a mid-century house with a backyard.  The dog and cat are so happy to have grass and sunshine every day. What a treat to see Charlie smile.

Estate Sales - West Palm Style!

I am in need of a little vacation...what better place to go than South Florida!  West Palm Beach and Miami to be exact.  I am visiting a good friend who lives on South Beach but we are taking a little road trip to do some estate sale shopping in West Palm.  Antique Row in West Palm Beach is a haven for antiques and 70s style furniture.  Treasure Trove! 

Here is a store that I have been dreaming of visiting....Circa Who, all vintage 1970s and mid-century modern.  I cant wait!  Faux Bamboo Consoles, X Benches and Greek Key dressers.  All fantastic pieces for decorating.

Fun address labels

Another great thing about moving...new address labels!  My absolute favorite is IOMOI.  They have the best designs - preppy, colorful and animals!  Here are a few that I ordered.   Also, they have an amazing set of Lucite Trays and Glass Coasters that I will be ordering soon.  P.S...they have a line of IPhone covers and IPhone Screens coming out this Fall....I cant wait!!

Fab Find

Since the move to the new house, i have been obsessed about decorating.  found this fantastic faux bamboo dresser at a resale shop.  love it!  I am thinking of painting it bright red with a very modern artwork above it.

Hands down - the most fantastic phone cover...EVER!!  Oh, i love this sweet little thing.  It has my three favorite things - bright colors (fave - pink and orange), Monogrammed and Tribal/Graphic prints.  Classic, Modern and totally needed.

Who knew masking tape could be this cool?!

Oh, I like! i am always looking for a new design element for wrapping presents or decorating. Look what we found - Japanese Masking Tape! The tape comes in all different types of color and patterns.

I cant wait to use it for wrapping presents. I love giving presents because I love to decorate presents with fun wrapping paper, colorful bows and little additions. all you need is craft paper and colorful masking tape!
